Overage Billing

Last updated: Jan 2026

What Is Overage?

Overage allows you to continue using ORCFLO even after you've used all your monthly credits. Instead of stopping your workflows, we charge a small per-credit fee for any additional usage beyond your plan's allocation.

Paid Plans Only

Overage is only available on Solo and Power plans. Free tier users must upgrade to continue when credits are exhausted.

Managing Overage Settings

You have full control over overage billing. By default, overage is disabled on paid plans. You must explicitly enable it if you want workflows to continue when credits run out.

Where to find it: Go to Dashboard → Billing → Settings to find the Overage Billing toggle. Enable it to allow workflows to continue beyond your monthly limit.

Enabling overage: When enabled, workflows continue automatically beyond your monthly limit. You'll be charged at your plan's overage rate (e.g., $10/1K for Solo).

Disabling with outstanding balance

If you have unpaid overage charges, you must pay the outstanding balance before disabling overage. A payment modal will appear with a link to complete payment.

Default Setting

Overage is disabled by default on all paid plans. Enable it in Dashboard → Billing → Settings if you want uninterrupted workflows. Free tier accounts cannot enable overage.

How It Works

  1. Use Monthly Credits First: All workflow executions deduct from your monthly credit allocation until it's depleted.
  2. Automatic Overage: When monthly credits run out, workflows automatically continue using overage credits if you have overage enabled - no interruption to your work.
  3. Nightly Billing: Overage charges are calculated and billed nightly. You'll see a separate line item on your invoice for overage usage.
  4. Cycle Reset: At the start of your next billing cycle, you receive a fresh allocation of monthly credits and overage tracking resets.

Overage Pricing

PlanGranted CreditsOverage Rate
Free500Not available
Solo1,500/mo$10 / 1K credits
Power3,600/mo$8.33 / 1K credits

Better rates at higher tiers

Higher plans get better overage rates. Power at $8.33/1K is 17% cheaper than Solo at $10/1K. If you consistently use overage, upgrading may save you money.

Billing Process

  • Nightly Settlement: Overage credits used during the day are tallied and charged to your payment method each night.
  • Automatic Charges: Charges are automatically processed using the payment method used for your subscription. No action needed on your part.
  • Minimum Charge: Overage charges have a minimum of $0.50. If your daily overage is less, it accumulates until reaching the minimum.
  • Track in Real-Time: View your current overage usage in the dashboard. The overage banner shows today's usage and cycle-to-date totals.

Free Tier Limits

Free tier accounts cannot use overage credits. When your 500 credits are exhausted, workflow execution is paused until you upgrade to a paid plan.

Best Value

If you regularly hit your free tier limit, upgrading to Solo ($15/month for 1,500 credits) gives you 3x more credits and the ability to enable overage for uninterrupted automation.

Payment Failures

If an overage charge fails (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds), we'll retry a few times. Continued failures may result in account suspension.

Account suspension means:

  • Workflows cannot be executed
  • Scheduled executions are paused
  • Your data remains safe and accessible

Restoring access: Update your payment method in Dashboard → Billing. Once a valid payment method is added and outstanding charges are cleared, your account will be immediately restored.
